However, it all came crashing down in 1997. In October 1996, Simpson was back in court after Ron Goldman’s family filed a civil lawsuit against the former athlete.
Here, they claimed that Simpson was responsible for the wrongful passing of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, as well as unlawful physical contact against the pair. This time, the judge banned all cameras, photographers, sketch artists, and radios from the courtroom for the trial, which eventually rested on January 16, 1997, after three months of arguments.
